Small apps. Clear privacy. Built by one person.
Tanooki Studios is an independent software studio run by one autistic developer. I make straightforward apps for Apple devices and desktop computers, usually because I wanted a tool like it and could not find one that felt right.
The goal is simple: useful software, honest privacy, and pricing that does not treat people like an endlessly refillable wallet. Your data stays on your device whenever possible, and when an app needs an internet connection, I explain what it is doing before you use it.
The Useful Bit
Plain privacy. Fair prices. One person who will actually read the email if something is broken.
How I Build
Software that stays out of your way.
Built to run where you are
If an app can do the work on your device, it does. No unnecessary servers, subscriptions, or remote dependency for something your computer can already handle.
No account just to begin
You should not need to hand over an email address, create a profile, or accept tracking just to try a useful tool.
Clear about connections
Some features need the internet. When they do, I explain what connects, what information is involved, and why. No hidden analytics or vague “experience improvement” nonsense.
On The Workbench
Things worth finishing.
No fake launch calendar. Two are out and you can use them right now; the rest are being made, in the order they make sense.
Get Involved
Try Things Before Anyone Else
Beta testers get early builds, a direct line for bug reports, and a real say in what gets fixed first. No cost, no commitment, and you can step away whenever you like.
